The name Gors and Kallmann has now been bought by a firm from the Far East and we have not yet rated it. (NB Kallman was also a name used by Godfrey they are usually poorly made underdampers with a brash tone, and sometimes have “Coster actions” (please enquire for more details). NB: Baby grands made from about 1910 to 1935 are generally good, but many suffer from an instability in the tenor area, causing the octaves to go out of tune with changes in humidity. Those made from about 1910 to 1930 are underdampers (see piano makes page for explanation) and can be exceptional.
